Night Cap

Well I just got back from being able to visit her for a little bit. Our neighbor Mandy was kind enough to sit with Hannah for me. We haven't heard anything from the doctor yet and probably won't until the morning. I think they come in once a day...I think in the morning...unless otherwise needed. But for now she is keeping her food down and hoping that doesn't change. She has a real good group of nurses that make sure she's doing good and has given her a little stack of stickers that she is very proud of.
Mitchell seems to be hanging in there. He's been doing a great job. I've been so blessed to have two great kids and a wonderful husband who loves his kids with all his heart. Well I'm going to try and get some rest and relax for the night. Let you guys know if there's anything else to update on. God Bless!

Update

So far we are still waiting for the test results. They said it can be up to 48 hours before they know anything about her blood cultures..with that being said the ones they took Saturday evening should come in some time tonight.
I was able to go see her because my friend Jeanette was nice enough to be able to take Hannah for us and she didn't look good. She wasn't eating or drinking and just wanted to be left alone. Mitchell said when she was awake she was crying and when she wasn't she was sleeping.
On a good note...I was almost home from picking up Hannah and he called me and said she wants a taco..so I said "Okay I'll be right there!!!" I got there and it was a whole different story. She was more like herself. She even took a bite out of her taco! On the other hand she was like this last night too but wound up getting worse in the morning. With that said we're not getting our hopes up too much but I'm taking what I can get. And if that means for now hugging my little girl, telling her I love her and in return getting a "love you too Mom...Let go Mom" then I'm off the walls happy! Thank you again for your prayers and support, it means a lot! God Bless!!

Update on KalieAnn

Mitchell called to let meknow that they are again running more blood tests on KalieAnn..when we get the results I will be sure to let everyone know. Thank you again for all your e-mails and support but right now all we really need is everyone's prayers and supports. Love you all!!

KalieAnn

I wanted let everyone know what is going on here. Saturday evening KalieAnncame down with a really high fever of 105.6. So Mitchell took her into the ER and found Pneumonia on her X-ray, They gave her antibiotics for us to give her three times a day and sent them home around 1 am on Sunday.
Sunday afternoon we got a call from the hospital letting usknow that they found something in her blood culture and need to bring her back in. So we did. They said that found strep in her blood..not as in strep throat...somthing that does lead to Pneumonia and wanted to take her blood and another X -ray again. Plus put her on IV fluids and antibioticsbecause she wouldn't eat and didn't want to drink or eat much.
The test came back showing that it has actually gotten a bit worse and the X-ray was the same. Next step..they admitted her into the pediatric ward of the hospital for the night to monitor her and giver her medication every four hours.
This morning Mitchell called me and she's actually gotten worse. She's not keeping anything down now and will be staying another night. Just thought I should let everyone know whats going on. I'm at home keeping Hannah from getting it. I'm hoping I'll be able to find someone to watch Hannah for a little bit so I can go see her. Well I'm going to try and keep myself busy

Zoo

Today we had A LOT of fun for the fun cost of a $5 donation. We went to the Camo Park Zoo. Its a funny little zoo and wait here's the catch..it's free!!! However you can donate money that goes towards tending to and running the park. We all had a blast. Mitchell even told me one of the many reasons he thinks having kids now is cool! Wanna know!?!? Well here it is..the older you get the sillier it looksto go to these kinds of places but when you have kids it looks completely normal! The fun he's waiting for is the water parks! lol. But until then this free zoo and some other Free opportunities we have found to do around the city of Minneapolis will do.

Earrings

KalieAnn got her ears pierced today!! She wanted to wear earrings just like Mommy. So when we to Walmart to just walk around we figured we'd ask how much. Well it was only ten dollars so we decided if she really wanted to do it, we'd let her. I even told her it might hurt but she still wanted to do it. So she picked out a pink pair. When they put them in she cried for about 30 seconds and was done. The lady showed her them in the mirror and asked if she liked it and she whimpered "uh huh" and then she asked you think they're pretty, "Yeah, pretty ears." It saddens me sometimes how fast she is growing up and with these earrings she looks more like a little girl instead of my baby.

Our baby girl, Hannah is doing great. She is still growing like a weed. She's figured out how to pick up her rattle, been rolling onto her side more, and has figured out how to push off on her feet and scoot. She hasn't gotten the scooting thing on her belly yet but we've got time. I keep telling her she's got to stop trying to catch up to her sister but she just gives me a strange look like "yeah, that's going to happen mom." Well I'm off to enjoy some more of my me time that Mitchell has been giving me today. He's been taking care of the girls for me. ;)

Tornados

I just wanted to come on here and let everyone know that we are doing good. The weather yesterday freaked me out but Mitchell remained calm about everything. There was a tornado not far from where Mitchell works and then popped down again in Hugo, MN. Thankfully all we got here at the house was some scary wind, some hail, and lots of rain with thunder.
Other than the freakish weather yesterday, things here are considerably good. Hannah is still growing like a weed. She is now in her 6 -6/9 month clothes. It's just amazing to me how fast they grow. Happy Memorial day to everyone! Lets not forget to take a moment to remember those who risks their lives for our freedom, today and for the people in the past that payed the high price for it. The three year anniversary's of Mitchell's friends death is coming up in a couple of days, so I ask for prayers for him and his other friends as they continually remember them. God bless!
