Christmas & New Year!!

I know its late but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and soon tobe Happy New year!!! We had Mitchell's Mom and Dad come up for Christmas. It was def. a lot of fun. I wore myself out trying to finish mom's blanket, which is the picture of the blue blanket up there. Sneaking off into our room during the day to working on it. Plus staying up late and getting up early. I was really excited when it was finished on Christmas day and no not because "Oh my Gosh I finally got it done" excitement. It was the first Afghan I have ever finished!!!!! So It was like an exciting "I can't believe I did it!" I'm not sure if you can see the pattern but its got like a wave type pattern in it. Now I have a new found hope that I can knit blankets and get them finished! The best part about it, is it only took a week and a half!!! So A couple days ago I decided with this new found hope to try and learn a knitting technique. So I started a baby blanket that would help me to learn how to increase and decrease stitches!! Guess What!!! It Looks Great!!! Who would have known!!!!!
It was Hannah's first Christmas and I think the first Christmas KalieAnn really knew what was going on.
The doll house was a project that his Mom, Dad and Mitchell worked on. They worked really hard all Christmas Eve to get it done and try to keep it a secret from KalieAnn. But KalieAnn being her mothers daughter found out about it that night. She was walking with Grandma downstairs to find Grandpa and KalieAnn says "Grandpa's working on my doll house!" So much for it being a surprise lol! Well we had a wonderful Christmas and hope you did too! If I don't get on here before the New Year....Happy New Year!!!!! God Bless!!!!

Camera!

Our Camera broke on us last night!!! I think Camera's don't like me. I mean this is our third camera. Our first Camera liked us but we replaced it with one that died and then we got our third which died on us last night. It fell off the couch and landed on the lens. Jammed up the lens. So My moms being REALLY nice and sending us the Kodak that we gave her to use till we can afford to replace it! But for now I am without a camera. :( Oh well.. Everything else is going good...Just wanted to let everyone know our camera's broken.

9 Month Check Up

Hannah's 9 month Check up was yesterday. She's a very healthy and happy baby but showed some of her true personality to the doctor. The doctor noticed that yes I do have my hands full with these two. I have had a week of fights, tantrums, and teething. I felt like my head was spinning at moments and yes you read right...teething. Hannah broke her first tooth through this week. That brought up a funny moment at the doctors office yesterday.

He asked how Hannah was doing with her teething and Mitchell says "I haven't noticed anything different." and I just snorted back "Yeah right." The doctor laughed."He's only saying what he knows when he's home." I just lifted my eyebrows and said "mhmm." There are very few moments where the girls show their true colors and when he's working he tends to come home right before Hannah's bed time. Mitchell and the doctor knowing this we all got a laugh out of it. And if you're reading this thinking that I am saying my husband isn't a great Dad, your wrong. My Husband is an awesome Dad. When he's home the girls get really excited to see him and want to cuddle and play with Dad. That being said their Daddy's little Girls.

Anywhoo...Hannah is back in the 90Th percentile for her height and 80Th for her weight. She's 29 1/2in long and 20lbs 14ounces. We're getting out her 18 months clothes now because she's out grown some of her 12 month pants. She got her first booster shot and some blood tests done. Hannah amazes us when she gets her shots. The only time she starts to cry is when she gets tired of being held down. Even for her blood being drawn out of her finger. I was sitting in the waiting room wait to hear her scream. Next thing I know Mitchell's walking out saying they we're finished. I was confused. KalieAnn at this age recognized the lab where she had to get her shots and would scream the moment we would enter. I can't tell you how different these weirdo girls are but that's to be expected.

Now I got to start figuring out how to get Hannah to drink from a Sippy cup. With KalieAnn, she wasn't on bottles. She went straight to sippy cups. Which leaves me with the question how do I get Hannah to go from bottle to sippy cup or to even drink juice out of her sippy cup. I'm sure we'll figure out in due time. Well its Friday and I am behind on the house because I caught a small cold this week. So I'm off. God Bless!!!

Marine Ball

We went to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball last weekend and we had a lot of fun. Our friends were really nice and watched the girls and took some family pics for us. I've been meaning to come on here and give an update but this week has flown by.
I wore a dress to the ball that I have worn to a ball four year prior. Except this time it was a little tight and I didn't wind up drunk at the end of the night. lol. Wearing it brought back fun memories. All last week I was worried about whether or not I should have even gone to the ball. I was worried about all the little stuff...which to be honest isn't abnormal for me. I was worried about what dress to wear..the shoes to wear with the dress..how am I going to do my hair..then I would go maybe I shouldn't even go. Then Mitchell would say "It won't be the same without you" and then a friend told me she felt the same way until she realized it was going to be a night out with her husband. Then I realized she was right...and that's just what it was a Great night out with my husband!
For new updates we have Mitchell's Dad coming out to visit this weekend with his sons Nick and Jordan. Mom and Dad Burke are coming out to visit for Christmas..yay!! I can't wait to see them! Our Friends Bobby and Brooke might be coming out visit right after..another yay!! A friend of mine who miscarried this time of year last year is about to have a baby, she's 37 weeks along...another yay!! So many yays!! Another friend of mine is knitting little booties and hats then turning around and selling them on a web page and craft fairs...so far is turning out good...if any of are interested here's the web page: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6400792. They're very cute!
For us...Mitchell is trying to get recruits lined up for next month..when he's not here helping out. The dishwashers motor blew out the weekend before last and he's been for each step of the way to get the new dishwasher put in.
Hannah's learned how to pull herself up on things and its looking like she might have tooth trying to come through. These girls just don't stop growing. KalieAnn is just growing more and more independent. Along with a little sass and some attitude. Well I need to go make this clan some lunch..put Hannah down for a nap, then get things together for KalieAnn's swim lessons. God Bless!

Happy Halloween!

Just wanted to come on and wish everyone a Happy Halloween! We took the Girls and the dog up our street down another and then found our way back to the house. Hannah about fell asleep in her stroller while KalieAnn would go door to door with me. She learned the routine...knock knock...Trick or Treat!...Thank you!...Happy Halloween!...then she would turn to us each time and go "Free Candy Mom!!!" or "Daddy! Look!! Free Candy!!" Well I'm off to bed. God Bless and Stay Safe!

Getting Settled

I've been busy trying to get us settled into our new home. forgot how much stuff we have lol. There's one thing I do not like about moving and its Unpacking. When I think about all the work that goes into moving it makes me stress but the over all picture of getting to see different places and meet new people is nice. I think there are...now remember I said think...three things in life that can really send me on a stress panic.

The first is money. I dunno what it is about it but it makes it hard for me to enjoy things. One of the first thing that pops into my head is okay do we really need this. I think it only stresses me out when its on something that isn't a necessity. I'll stand there staring at it thinking what if I get this and we need something more important later on and won't have the money for it.

The second is the new. I almost wanted to say the moving. All the work but I don't think its the actually work that goes into moving. Its the going somewhere new and having to do all the work because you know your hunny's going to have to work. Wondering how the new place is going to be, how far from family is it, and how our lives are going to be there.

The third is the Tornado's out here in MN. I used to love sit and watch the thunderstorms. But watching the skies turn pitch black around new, the flickering of the lights and wondering if the house and my stuff are going to be ruined, with all our memories gone is another. I think a huge part of that fear is loosing my girls. What if I don't get them down into the room fast enough, if something happens to us, whose going to take care of them. I think this probably a little personal for this and probably a bit silly but there they are. The three things that tend to stress me out the most. Well tomorrow is Halloween and our pumpkins have yet to be carved. So i need to go work on the house some more. God Bless!

Moving

We are going to be moving this weekend. I really don't feel like putting all the details on here. We will be sending out a letter though with the forwarding address. I will say this though I am very disappointed in our LandLord and we just can't wait to get out of this house.
Other news, Hannah is scooting herself around pretty fast now and goes pretty far distances. She's starting to say baba now for her bottle(really only when she angry at me and I hadn't given it to her) and she'll she scoot up to me now and put her butt up in the air to tell me "Hey, mom pick me up"
KalieAnn has all little girl in her now, no Babiness left...makes me a little sad. However she's healthy and stubborn as ever. She's starting to test her boundaries in a new way this days. She's talking back and trying to tell me what to do! For the most part though she is still a great kid and I try to remind her of that everyday.
As for Mitchell and I we're going to start get ourselves ready for this move and for the Marine Corps Ball. Well I've got to get going..Hannah's ankering to get out of her crib. God Bless!

Pumpkin Patch!!

Last Saturday we went to a place called Berry Hill Farm in Anoka. We all had a blast. They had wagon rides..pulled by a tractor! This farm is huge! They have raspberry fields, strawberry fields, sunflower, pumpkin, squash and more!!! The wagon/tractor ride takes you all around and stops at the Pumpkin field. Other than seeing the beautiful farm they have..what i want to call vegetable people set up all around the farm. For example a family of Pumpkin Heads...A squash headed wood cutter...apple friends..and it continues on.It was soo cute! It was hard getting a picture with KalieAnn and Hannah together. For some reason KalieAnn didn't want to have her picture taken with her sister.
KalieAnn helping Daddy pull the pumpkins out of the field. Such a cute little Helper.
Doesn't this picture make her look like she's completely focused on something? Our serious yet goofy baby girl.
KalieAnn in the Hay Maze...I was just in shock that people were still doing this kind of stuff!!! The only time I'd heard of a Hay Maze was in the last season of Gilmore Girls when Taylor Dosey set up a Hay Bail Maze in the middle of their town. It was soo much fun zigzagging through the maze and then trying to find your way back!
Here of course is a family picture with the pumpkins we almost got. I on the other hand found a cool round pumpkin and its big!!! It was 35 pounds ...I think...I could be wrong. We had a great time at this place! If you guys want to find a Place that has Pumpkin Patches and more heres a website to find them: http://www.pumpkinpatchesandmore.org/ You pick your state, area and it will show places that do it!

Birthday Party

Her birthday party was great! Just about everyone showed up and well I had a blast hanging out with everyone. Granted I was exhausted after I cleaned up the place a little. When you don't host get togethers like that very often you tend to forget the exhausting part of it. However my body still seems to be a bit out of whack when it comes to my hormones.

These past couple of days I have been a bit emotional. Some part because yesterday was a bit of a stressful day but putting that a side I still have been a bit more temper mental and bit more on the emotional side. SO I figured there would be two reasons... Reason One: My body trying to get back on a regular schedule seeing that I haven't had a period since I found out I was prego with Hannah. The doctor said that I should have one within a month of when I stopped nursing. Which was the 15Th of last month so we'll see..now he did say that before I have my period I will ovulate which goes to the Reason 2: Prego..since we are trying to get pregnant AGAIN. But I'm ruling out Reason 2 because I took a prego test tonight and it popped up negative.

And yes..I think I have lost my mind completely for trying for our third but here's our reasoning. When I was pregnant with KalieAnn my experience with a military doctor was far from good....It was SO far from a good experience that I would really not have to deal with it Pregnant again. Now Reason 1 is because I don't want to have another military doctor and I REALLY like the civilian doctor that I have now we've decided to start trying...

Why now? Because Mitchell only has 17 more(estimate) months on production adding prego time that's not a whole lot of time

Reason 2: We really would like to not have a baby in Nov., Dec, or January which means Starting January we'll be done trying if I am not prego by then till April. If that were to happen we'd be cutting really close to moving time.

So there it is our crazy decision to start trying for another...and yes I agree its crazy..there moments with the girls where they just drive me crazy and the first thought that pops into my head is "and your trying for another?" The thing is I love it when my girls drive me crazy because afterwards Cuddle time!!! I love when KalieAnn curls up on the couch next to me while I watch TV...She usually curls up right in my back or Hannah hanging out with me in the Glider. Well I'm tired..its been well an interesting day. The girls let me sleep in and it was just one of those rainy and gloomy days. Hard to get yourself moving but once I did I lost track of time and whola late dinner and now late bed time. I'm off to go investigate the back of my eye lids..God Bless!

Happy Birthday!!

Yesterday was KalieAnn's 3rd Birthday! You know, growing up I never understood why mom would always say that we were growing up way too fast. I thought time was dragging..I was always in such a hurry to grow up and now I have two kids of my own and find myself repeating my mom. It feels like yesterday when I went to the doctors worried that there was something wrong with me because it had been two months and we still weren't prego. Couple weeks later I conceived KalieAnn and then ten months later she arrived. Now three years later we're preparing for her birthday party this Saturday...Princess themed.
We had her three year check up this morning and it went great. They tested her hearing by putting these headphone like things on her and asking her to tell them if she hears anything. They put them on and KalieAnn had this look on her face that just made me giggle inside. A look of suspicion and not sure what to think of it. She just sat there completely confused. The nurse asked did you hear anything and nervously said "Yeah." She ran average for her height, 37 inches(50Th percentile) and as usual below normal for her weight, 28 lbs(25Th percentile). It ended with the doctor asking and talking about a three year old quest of trying to be independent and can be worse than the terrible twos. Always trying to figure out their boundaries. I told him when she does she surprises me. The other day I told her that the T.V wasn't going to be on and she comes back with a "you serious?" The doctor smiled and said I wonder where she got that from. Next thing I new, I had him and Mitchell looking at me. So yes..whenever Mitchell says something that irritates me I tend to say "Are you serious!?" and our wonderful Princess has picked up on it.

The Girls and an old Obscession

Okay, First I want to say that the girls are happy and healthy. KalieAnn is still trying to get rid of a cough and some small congestion. Hannah's really starting to get daring on checking out news of the house other than the living room. They are both cute as eve rand make me happier than I ever thought I could be.

Now for the obsession part....as a reminder...which some of you might not need...I used to be very obsessed with *N Sync. I mean I was so obsessed to the point I created a scrapbook of every magazine clip they were in...destroyed that later on in life but anywhoo..so whats that got to do with now right? There is this show I've become to enjoy watching since we've moved here and its called "Dancing With The Stars" and this season happens to have Lance Bass from*NSync. Before all i ever did is just watch this show, now I watch and find myself hurrying downstairs to vote laughing at myself the whole time. I'm very amused that I've gotten so interested that he continue on through that I'm rushing downstairs to put my two..no four cents in since I have two user names to vote on. Sad, huh? What makes it worse is when the show comes on KalieAnn knows it.."Dancin Stars mommy!" while she circles the living room pretending to dance and looking at their dresses going "Pretty dresses or icky ones mom." Well that's my input for now.

Exhausted

I am soo tired!!!! Last night Hannah didn't want to sleep and I know she was tired because her eyes were soo red from exhaustion. However our little Princess didn't want sleep for more than a half hour to an hour at a time. So Mitchell took over around five in the morning. Last night was my second night without a full night sleep.
KalieAnn is getting better. She doesn't really have a fever today but we are still giving her the Tylenol for her new found congestion. Luckily both the girls are currently still down for their naps. I am enjoying some moments of quiet time after my nap. Well all I can say is I need to have a full nights sleep tonight so I can have some energy to work on the house tomorrow but for now I'm beat. Love you all!!! God Bless!

KalieAnn

We took KalieAnn in to see our Doctor today. All her tests came up normal...Yay!!!! We just need to keep an eye on her, give her tylenol till her fever is gone, and make sure this viral cold doesn't give her the cold sores in her mouth. So she just needs everyone's prayers to get better.
Hannah can scoot slowly. She's our little lazy girl. She just kind of hangs out until she sees something she wants then slowly work her way that way. She's just happy hanging out on the floor. The girls are so cute together. KalieAn's noticed that Hannah tries to repeat some of the noises she makes and it becomes a gameto them. Such cutie patooties. Well I'm off to go get some rest. Last night was a long night. God Bless!

Fever

KalieAnn has been running a fever today. After we woke up from a nap this afternoon I noticed she was burning up. I took her temp and it was around 105. I gave her Tylenol and put her in the bath. The temp went down to around 102-103 for a while. Mitchell came home and took her in. By the time they checked her in she was back down to normal. After waiting for two or more hours in the waiting, waiting to go back for her to be seen KalieAnn was acting like her normal self again. So he left. Once the Tylenol completely wore off her fevers back. We've been monitoring for a few hours without the Tylenol and it was about 102 steady. We decided to give her the Tylenol and let her get her sleep tomorrow and take her in, in the morning. Just thought I'd let everyone know. God Bless.

Photo Contest

I thought I should come on with an update. It's looking like we are going to be moving this month. When we know, I'll have KalieAnn make some cute cards and we'll mail out the info.
Other new news is that out of boredom and curiosity I put Hannah's picture in a cute baby photo contest. Supposedly if you get a certain amount of votes you get a gift card. I think they said every ten votes...who knows...but if you want to go on and vote here's the link...https://www.greatamericanphotocontest.com/voter1/index.aspx?referid=EmailFriends&p=731913&x=.jpg . Well I'm off to bed, God Bless.

Hunter and Birds

Today our birds and Hunter have been given to new homes. We decided that it was best to one not have a cat for as long as he is in the Marines and two that since weren't going to keep him, it was going to be better to find him a new family now while heis young. He is now in a family that we believe will give him a permanent home with all the love and care he deserves.
Other than that our family is doing very well. There is a possibility that we will be moving. God Bless!

Article

I thought I would share this with everyone. It's an article about a kid that was recruited out of the office Mitchell works. I'm not sure who put him in but I know it wasn't Mitchell. Still Mitchell showed it to me and I really liked the article. Thought it was worthy of sharing. Its about the kids that was put in. He was born and raised in Iraq for ten years and why he decided to become a United States Marine! Here's the link:

Family Update

As most of you have probably heard we are trying to get out and see our families this August. Mitchell's leave will not be approved until he has somebody to put in this month. Right now we need your prayers that he does whether or not we get to have our much needed vacation. Well I need to get going I have a house full of kids. God Bless!!!

KalieAnn

KalieAnn is slowly becoming herself again. Mitchell and I made the descion last weekend that we were going to stop trying to give her the medication. It was making her feel crappy and it had her throwing up on a regular basis. Plus, we couldn't it get her to take it any more. We'd get it in her mouth and she'd spit it back out at us. The last and final reason we decided to take her off of it was because when I got into the shower with her on Sunday,it scared us on how skinny she is becoming and she was suppose to stop today anyway. So yesterday was her first day without the medication. She didn't eat much until dinner and this morning she ate a whole bowl of cereal. So yay!! My little girl is slowly but surely returning to herself. Thank you again for all your prayers and support!

4mnth Appointment

Hannah's 4month appointment went great! She'sdef. a big girl! her head size wasin the 85th percentile, her weight at 15lbs 10.5ozs(90th percentile), her height at 26 1/4in. (98th percentile). doctor asked us what we were feeding her. :)
On another upside it seems like weare all on the mend. My cough is getting better. doctorsaid mylungs still sounded a little irritated but thats what the meds are for. He also mentioned the kind of antibiotic they gave me is they kind that's strong enough to make sure you don't come back! We found that amusing. Well we're goingtotry and enjoysomeofour weekend. God Bless and thankyou for all yourprayers!

Semi-eating

KalieAnn's had a bit of a rough day. She didn't eat anything this morning or afternoon. It wasn't until we went to the hospital to get me checked for pneumonia did she decide to eat a popscile. In fact she ate three. PLusa chicken nugget on theway home, yay!! But before we went there she threw up twice. Doctors not too concerned about the eating as they are about her hydration.
As for me, I have the early signs of pneumonia. it hasn't gotten to the point you can see it on X-ray but they could hear my shortness of breathe and had me do a breathing treatment. They also gave and have given me antibiotics, a type of inhaler..can't remember what kind it is and a medication for my cough and to loosen up the icky mucos in my throat. Anyway..thats enough growsness for one blog. Prayers for our familyto continue to get better.
Tomorrow morning we have Hannah's 4mnth check up! Can you believe it 4months!! Man does time fly. Well I'm off to bed, God Bless!

Not Eating

Just thought I would let everyone in on the update. KalieAnn has developed a pretty nasty cough and won't eat. We were able to get her to eat a couple bitesof pizza yesterday but thats it. She's drinking some juice here and there. I'm able to get her to drink a glass of milk so I can give her the medications. We'll see what the doctor says about all of it. Update later.

She's Home!!

The let her go this evening. So she is now happy and home! We were able to get her to a hot dog for dinner! Now for the run down. She had Strep Neumo...something like that. they basically said it was bacteria in her blood which can lead to Pneumonia. So she had that and pneumonia. The amoxiclyn..remember I'm guessing on the spelling of these names... that they gave Mitchell when they discharged the first time wasn't fighting the bacteria. So they needed to be able to find an antibiotic that her body would react to to help her fight this..which they did and our little girl is starting to act more and more like herself. So Yay!! Thankyou for all your prayers it mean A LOT!! God Bless

Update

KalieAnn is back to not eating or drinking much if any. But as far as I know she hasn't thrown up again. Her cultures from yesterday didn't show much but the ones from Saturday and Sunday showed the Strep Pneumonia. It is looking like the might release her today and let her go home. So we'll see.

Morning

I just got off the phone with Mitchell. He said that her blood culture came back as Strep Pneumo (Pneumonia) and that she is getting a little better. That's all he said for now. He sounded really tired. So I will let you know if more is said. God Bless!

Night Cap

Well I just got back from being able to visit her for a little bit. Our neighbor Mandy was kind enough to sit with Hannah for me. We haven't heard anything from the doctor yet and probably won't until the morning. I think they come in once a day...I think in the morning...unless otherwise needed. But for now she is keeping her food down and hoping that doesn't change. She has a real good group of nurses that make sure she's doing good and has given her a little stack of stickers that she is very proud of.
Mitchell seems to be hanging in there. He's been doing a great job. I've been so blessed to have two great kids and a wonderful husband who loves his kids with all his heart. Well I'm going to try and get some rest and relax for the night. Let you guys know if there's anything else to update on. God Bless!

Update

So far we are still waiting for the test results. They said it can be up to 48 hours before they know anything about her blood cultures..with that being said the ones they took Saturday evening should come in some time tonight.
I was able to go see her because my friend Jeanette was nice enough to be able to take Hannah for us and she didn't look good. She wasn't eating or drinking and just wanted to be left alone. Mitchell said when she was awake she was crying and when she wasn't she was sleeping.
On a good note...I was almost home from picking up Hannah and he called me and said she wants a taco..so I said "Okay I'll be right there!!!" I got there and it was a whole different story. She was more like herself. She even took a bite out of her taco! On the other hand she was like this last night too but wound up getting worse in the morning. With that said we're not getting our hopes up too much but I'm taking what I can get. And if that means for now hugging my little girl, telling her I love her and in return getting a "love you too Mom...Let go Mom" then I'm off the walls happy! Thank you again for your prayers and support, it means a lot! God Bless!!

Update on KalieAnn

Mitchell called to let meknow that they are again running more blood tests on KalieAnn..when we get the results I will be sure to let everyone know. Thank you again for all your e-mails and support but right now all we really need is everyone's prayers and supports. Love you all!!

KalieAnn

I wanted let everyone know what is going on here. Saturday evening KalieAnncame down with a really high fever of 105.6. So Mitchell took her into the ER and found Pneumonia on her X-ray, They gave her antibiotics for us to give her three times a day and sent them home around 1 am on Sunday.
Sunday afternoon we got a call from the hospital letting usknow that they found something in her blood culture and need to bring her back in. So we did. They said that found strep in her blood..not as in strep throat...somthing that does lead to Pneumonia and wanted to take her blood and another X -ray again. Plus put her on IV fluids and antibioticsbecause she wouldn't eat and didn't want to drink or eat much.
The test came back showing that it has actually gotten a bit worse and the X-ray was the same. Next step..they admitted her into the pediatric ward of the hospital for the night to monitor her and giver her medication every four hours.
This morning Mitchell called me and she's actually gotten worse. She's not keeping anything down now and will be staying another night. Just thought I should let everyone know whats going on. I'm at home keeping Hannah from getting it. I'm hoping I'll be able to find someone to watch Hannah for a little bit so I can go see her. Well I'm going to try and keep myself busy

Zoo

Today we had A LOT of fun for the fun cost of a $5 donation. We went to the Camo Park Zoo. Its a funny little zoo and wait here's the catch..it's free!!! However you can donate money that goes towards tending to and running the park. We all had a blast. Mitchell even told me one of the many reasons he thinks having kids now is cool! Wanna know!?!? Well here it is..the older you get the sillier it looksto go to these kinds of places but when you have kids it looks completely normal! The fun he's waiting for is the water parks! lol. But until then this free zoo and some other Free opportunities we have found to do around the city of Minneapolis will do.

Earrings

KalieAnn got her ears pierced today!! She wanted to wear earrings just like Mommy. So when we to Walmart to just walk around we figured we'd ask how much. Well it was only ten dollars so we decided if she really wanted to do it, we'd let her. I even told her it might hurt but she still wanted to do it. So she picked out a pink pair. When they put them in she cried for about 30 seconds and was done. The lady showed her them in the mirror and asked if she liked it and she whimpered "uh huh" and then she asked you think they're pretty, "Yeah, pretty ears." It saddens me sometimes how fast she is growing up and with these earrings she looks more like a little girl instead of my baby.

Our baby girl, Hannah is doing great. She is still growing like a weed. She's figured out how to pick up her rattle, been rolling onto her side more, and has figured out how to push off on her feet and scoot. She hasn't gotten the scooting thing on her belly yet but we've got time. I keep telling her she's got to stop trying to catch up to her sister but she just gives me a strange look like "yeah, that's going to happen mom." Well I'm off to enjoy some more of my me time that Mitchell has been giving me today. He's been taking care of the girls for me. ;)

Tornados

I just wanted to come on here and let everyone know that we are doing good. The weather yesterday freaked me out but Mitchell remained calm about everything. There was a tornado not far from where Mitchell works and then popped down again in Hugo, MN. Thankfully all we got here at the house was some scary wind, some hail, and lots of rain with thunder.
Other than the freakish weather yesterday, things here are considerably good. Hannah is still growing like a weed. She is now in her 6 -6/9 month clothes. It's just amazing to me how fast they grow. Happy Memorial day to everyone! Lets not forget to take a moment to remember those who risks their lives for our freedom, today and for the people in the past that payed the high price for it. The three year anniversary's of Mitchell's friends death is coming up in a couple of days, so I ask for prayers for him and his other friends as they continually remember them. God bless!

2 Months!!!

I can't believe my little Hannah is now two months old! Time is already flying by! We had her two month check up and she is growing great! She's 11 lbs 2 ozs. and 23 inches long. The doctor said she is going to be lean and tall just like her mommy. Yay for Hannah! She's in the 90Th percentile for height, 60 percentile for weight and 50Th percentile for her head circumference!! I knew she was getting long because she's already in her 3-6 month clothes length wise.KalieAnn didn't go through her clothes this fast as a baby. However KalieAnn is also growing up faster than I would like. It just amazes me and makes me sad at the same time.

Last weekend Mitchell got her a princess fishing pole and we all went fishing. Mitchell was excited to be able to use three poles for fishing. KalieAnn on the other hand had a lot of fun trying to imitate Daddy. It was so cute! Tonight we're going to go do some much needed shopping. yay!!

Next month we're hoping to be able to go out to California for a little bit but we'll see how things plan out. For now I have been keeping busy with girls, trying to remain dedicated to my bible study, keep the house clean and being good wife. So far that's kept me soo busy that taking out time for myself seems near to impossible. So I am really looking forward to Mothers Day!!! I told my husband I taking that whole day as my day and he agreed!

KalieAnn's Curosity!

Alright well It's Mitchell's first night away and as I was trying to tend to Hannah after her bath I turned to look at KalieAnn. And there she is CUTTING her beautiful hair!!!! I've been thinking to myself "I wonder how the rest of this weekend is going to go." Oh well. As my mom said..She can't think of one child that hasn't done it. Well we're off to bed. We're going to be hanging out with a friend tomorrow.

Pool Function Weekend

Well Mitchell is now gone for the weekend. Its been an interesting morning ofgetting up and trying to find pieces of his uniform that he forgot to pack last night. They're suppose to be leaving sometime this afternoon and will be back sometime on Sunday.
Its looking more and more like KalieAnn is going to be homeschooled for Preschool. Still amazes me that we will be at that stage soon enough. Well thats pretty much all thats going on here. Nothing truely exciting. Pray for a fast weekend please!!

Planning Preschool Already!!

I can't believe how much time has passed! We're starting to price and plan Preschools, find out when she's suppose to start in which ones and Wow they aren't cheap! Just as i was amazed to find out that my daughter is going to be starting Preschool in the fall, I'm wondering if we'll be able to afford it. Right now we're looking into one that we can. Hopefully we'll qualify for it. I'm still in awe on how fast the time has flown. It feels like just yesterday we were blessed with KalieAnn's presence into this world. Now she's potty trained and thinks shes as self sufficient as it gets with a little sister. So now I'm trying so hard to savor every moment with Hannah to but it feels like time is going to fly by with her too and before I'll know it she'll be in Preschool. It's amazing how fast time really does fly. Hannah is smiling, holding her head up pretty good, and hates tummy time. The two of them love each other Allot and its fun to see.

Happy Belated Easter!

Thought I should come on and put a small update. Not much has been happening here. Mitchell and his mom made three very cute toy boxes. One for each of the girls and then one for the Lawson's as a gift for their new little arrival. Their daughter arrived 21 hours after Hannah did. She's a cutie.

Our Easter was great. We didn't do much. Since we were getting quite a bit of snow we did the Easter egg hunt inside. Then Mitchell and Mom got working on the toy boxes again. Other than that we've been recovering well. KalieAnn's back to being herself and relearning that tantrums just get her put in her room again. Hannah is a great baby. She only woke up once last night. Mitchell is doing great. It looks like his office is going to be closing out on the first. As for me, I'm glad to be getting my voice back! I'm starting to sound normal again! Well I'm off to go work on laundry. God Bless!!!

Interesting Week!

Hey Everyone!

This past week has definitely been interesting. Starting last Friday night KalieAnn and I got really sick. We weren't keeping anything down. Mitchell and his mom decided that it would be best for us to go in after hours of not being able to keep down water. We both got IV's to rehydrate us and medicine for our nauseousness. On top of that they gave me morphine for the severe pain my abdomen which turned out to be a blatter infection. Because of the morphine I had to pump for 24 hours and toss. Luckily I had pumped prior to getting sick so Hannah wasn't just getting formula. They also told me that I couldn't nurse her while I was actively sick. Luckily the last time I was "actively sick" was right before I left the hospital. So I was back nursing again on Sunday. We had our follow up with our doctor on Monday and found out I had strep throat but KalieAnn was doing great. Well Monday night we wound up back in the ER because KalieAnn wouldn't stop screaming "OW!" on the top of her lungs and we figured it was best to have her looked at. The poor thing went through all kinds of test including a cat scan to make sure didn't have appendicitis. Thank God they all came back normal! I on the other hand ended up going home with more medicine for my throat. Since then we have been trying to recover. Mitchell's mom flew in Friday morning and his sister followed that evening. I wish their trip had been more of a relaxing one..still a chance for mom to have a bit more of a relaxing vacation. She leaves this coming Friday. His sister left last Monday night. Now if you have called this past week and i didn't answer the phone its been because I really don't have much of a voice. I'm still waiting for it to come back. My family here had a hard time understanding me at points and sometimes still do. We can also thank God tremendously that Hannah hasn't gotten any of this junk and that my antibiotics stops tomorrow!!!! Yay for being back on just my prenatal!!! No more feeling like a druggy! Well I'm off to try and get some sleep while I can!

My Grandpa JB

I wanted to come on and give the sad news of my Grandpa JB (my Dad's Dad). He passed away last Monday morning due to cancer. Its sad to have him go but we are all glad that he didn't suffer for very long. So I ask for every ones prayers for our family. God Bless.

Doctors Appointment

Alright, our doctors appointment was earlier this morning. It went well. Hannahs doing great as usual and inducing was talked about. She has dropped into position and my body is where it needs to be to induce. My cervix is still dialated 3 1/2cm and soft. Hannah is still just as active in there when she wants to be and it has become a very painful process for me. My body is sore and I am ready but like I told the doctor "I am really uncomfortable and I am really tired But I want whats best forthe baby." So with that said it was decidedthat we would wait another week and then set the day to induce around her due date which is a week from Saturday. So more than likely we'll get to meet Hannah by the end of next week. yay! Well thats all for now! God Bless!

Doctors Appointment

Alright now our doctors appointment was this afternoon. Hannah is still doing great. My cervix hasn't changed since last Thursday night. However we are now ready for her to arrive when she does come. Here are some maternity pics that I have finished messing with. Thought I would share them.

Family Day Awards

Yesterday was mandatory Family day for the marines. At the end of each family day I have noticed that they give out awards. Mitchell and his office did very well the past couple of months. Heres the pictures of them accepting their awards. Mitchell recieved two awards. The first was a bat for Recruitor of the month and the second was a battle ax for being the first recruitor to write four contracts in a month. His office got a ton of awards. For being the first office to close out on mission for the past five months(five individual awards, one per months), for carrying the offices RS on shipping for a couple of months..and some others I can't remember. The one of the group is his office had to come forward andthe CO explained how much Coon Rapids has helped the RS if not had to carry the RS' mission a couple months, and the last one is of SSGT Scobee with everyones awards on the table.

My Hospital Stay

Well our OB appointment went A lot differently than we planned. Hannah is still doing Great so no worries. Our doctor suspected that my infection was in my kidneys and to protect me and the baby he had me admitted to the hospital yesterday to have stronger antibiotics given to me through an IV. They took pictures of my kidneys and blatter. They were even nice enough to give us some new pics of the baby. The ultrasound showed my kidneys swollen and a little fluid in them to cause irritation but nothing to be concerned about. Now the other good thing about going in is they were able to watch the contractions and cramps that I have been getting pretty strong at night. We noticed that they were mild contractions and the doctor thought that was reassuring but decided to check my cervix just in case. My cervix was at 1 1/2 - 2cm tight this morning. At midnight last night it was at 3 1/2cm soft. So I'm ordered to watch and pay attention to my body. He also wants to see me again Monday or Tuesday..so I just scheduled the appointment tuesday afternoon. We also have one Friday morning. So we'll see....I've decided to head off and start getting ready for Hannah's arrival....labor bag...wash clothes..little stuff. God Bless! Have any question e-mail me otherwise I will try and keep this updated.

UTI

Hannah dropped a little bit last night. However her head isn't locked in there yet. I was in a lot of pain last night and this morning. The doctor had me go in and get monitored. The nurse there said Hannah "looks beautiful, she's doing great." However I have a UTI. So now I am on antibiotics and will still be seeing our doctor on Thursday morning. Well I need to take my tired, queesy behind upstairs and relax for a little bit after a nice warm shower. God Bless!!!

Its opening in the front and closed near Hannah. Our next OB appointment is this thursday morning. So we'll see if anythings changed this week. God Bless!!
